Principal's Message

Karen Keats Whelan Reading Debbie Marshall’s compelling biography of Roberta MacAdams, Give Your Other Vote to the Sister, deepened the tremendous sense of responsibility I feel toward leading this school community. Roberta MacAdams exemplified service to others through her courage, commitment, compassion and deep appreciation of the value of community. Her contributions are a significant part of our identity and history in Alberta, and I am forever grateful to Debbie Marshall for “reclaiming the life” of an ordinary Canadian woman “who stepped out and did something extraordinary.”

As principal of Roberta MacAdams School, I come to your community as both a mother of two sons and as a dedicated educator. I have always been profoundly aware of the trust and faith parents and caregivers place in the school and in those who care for their children.
